How to prepare Chilli chicken? - Chicken Recipes - Viji's New Recipes

CHILLI CHICKEN


Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1kg (Thigh fillets, quartered)
  • Turmeric powder - 3tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic - 3 tbsp (grated)
  • Ginger - 3 tbsp (grated)
  • Black Peppercorns - 3 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 2 stick (4 inches)
  • Cardamom  - 3nos.
  • Cloves- 3nos.
  • Fresh curry  leaves 
  • Fresh green chilli pepper - 1tbsp
  • Tamarind paste - 1 tsp (concentrate)
  • Lemon juice - 4 to 5 tsp
  • Fresh coriander Leaves- 1/4 cup
  • Spring Onion - 4tsp
  • Onion -1small (diced for garnish)
  •  Salt to taste 

Recipe Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 500°F. In a  ginger, grind cinnamon ,cardamom, cloves and peppercorns to a powder.
  • Transfer spices to a food processor and add curry leaves, coriander leaves, chilli pepper, ginger, garlic, tamarind, lemon juice,turmeric and salt . Process to form a paste.
  • Place chicken pieces in bowl and add spice mixture. Mix well to coat chicken and set aside to marinate for one hour.
  • Brush oil over a large baking tray or sheet and spread coated chicken on sheet in a single layer. Bake without turning until chicken is cooked through about 30 minutes.Serve hot
  • Serve the chicken with a salad made from diced onion and spring onions.
