 CHICKEN ROLL

Ingredients:

  • Oil - 1/2 cup
  • Chicken - 500gm (Chopped)
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato -1 (small) (chopped)
  • Green Chilli -1
  • Brown or White Bread Slice - 4 to 5 (Soaked in water and water squeezed out)
  • Eggs - 1
  • Bread crumbs - 4tbsp

For Marination:

  • Coriander Powder - 3 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric -1tsp
  • Curd - 1tbsp
  • Fresh lemon juice - 1/2 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste - 2tbsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To garnish

  • Lemon wedges
  • Pineapple Slices
  • Cucumber Slices (optional)

To Serve with

  • Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
  • Chilli Sauce - 2tbsp

Method:

  • In a large bowl add coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and pepper, curd, fresh lemon juice, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste , turmeric powder mix well and add washed chicken pieces in the bowl and marinate for 1 hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan add sliced onion, tomato and green chilli cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Then add the marinated chicken pieces. Mix well and cook on low flame for 20 to 30 minutes. Add 5 tbsp hot water, Keep stirring in between. Cook until the chicken is done. Remove from heat. Keep aside. 

For making Rolls:

  • Take each bread cut the 4 sides. Keep the sides for making bread crumbs. Now with a rolling pin roll the bread to thin. Spread cream cheese on the bread and put 1 tbsp filling on this and roll the bread. Tie up the ends with piece of string and place the roll in a plate.

Now beat one egg in bowl. Now dip each roll in egg and then bread crumbs and keep aside.

Heat oil in a medium frying pan  and fry these rolls till crispy. Transfer to serving plate garnish with lemon wedges and pineapple slices. Serve with tomato sauce and chilli sauce.
