 CHICKEN CHOPS


Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 500 gm (Slightly beaten with the back of the knife to tenderize)
  • Beaten Egg -1 
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Onion paste - 1 tbsp 
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 2 tsp
  • Cumin seed powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 tsp (optional) (or) Fresh Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
  • Yoghurt - 1/2 tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs - 5 tsp (for coating)
  • Mint leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste

For Garnish

  • Fried curry leaves 

 

Method:

Marinate the chops with all the ingredients except eggs, breadcrumbs and oil at least 5 to 6 hours in fridge.

Meanwhile heat oil in a frying pan for  deep frying the chicken chops.

Dip the chops in eggs then pat them on either side with breadcrumbs. Place the chops on a flat serving dish.

when the oil turns piping hot, reduce the flame and carefully transfer the coated chicken chops into oil. Deep fry the chicken chops until all the sides turn golden brown.

Transfer to serving plate and garnish with fried curry leaves .

Serve hot as one of the main courses with potato straws .
