SPICY CHICKEN CURRY
Ingredients:
- Chicken - 500 gm
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
- Bay leaf - 1
- Curd - 1/2 cup
- Onion paste - 1 cup
- Poppy seed paste - 1/2 tsp
- Tomato Puree - 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
Method:
Wash the chicken and cut into pieces.
Mix chicken pieces with curd, 1 tsp of ghee, ginger garlic powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cinnamon powder, pepper powder and salt keep aside for one hour in the refrigerator.
In a microwave safe bowl add ghee and onion paste, tomato puree, poppy seed paste and bay leaf and microwave covered for 5 minutes. Stirring in between.
Add marinated chicken and 1/2 cup hot water and mix it thoroughly. Cover it and microwave at 100% power for 10 to 15 minutes.Stirring in between.
Standing time of 5 minutes to be given. Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
Serve hot with naan or chapati or white rice.
