CHICKEN KOFTA
Ingredients:
For Kofta:
- Deboned and finely minced chicken -500 gm
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Rice flour - 1/2 tsp
- Lime juice - 1/4 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala powder - 1/4 tsp
- Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
- Fresh mint leaves - few
- Salt and Pepper to taste
For Sauce:
- Oil - 1tsp
- Onion - 1 (sliced)
- Tomato - 1 (sliced)
- Capsicum - 1 small size (sliced)
- Mushrooms - 50 gm (thinly sliced)
- Celery - 1/2 stick
- Corn flour - 1 tbsp
For Garnish:
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
Method:
For Kofta:
Wash chicken and apply turmeric power and keep for 5 to 10 minutes.
In a deep bowl, mix all ingredients together and make koftas (balls) the size of lemon.
For Sauce:
Corn flour mixed with 5 tbsp of water and keep aside.
In a sauce pan, mix all ingredients together except corn flour mixture and cook for 5 to 10 minutes stirring once in between.
Mix 1/4 cup of water and cook for 5 to 10 minutes in a low flame. Stir and place the koftas carefully in it and cook for 10 minutes, shaking the dish once in between. So that koftas will turn over on the other side.
Carefully mix in the cornflour mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Shake the dish.
Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
