 MURG MUSALLAM 


Ingredients:

  • Whole chicken  - 1 (or) Boneless Chicken - 500 gm
  • Ghee or Oil - 5 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  • Beaten Curd - 1 cup
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Tomato puree - 2 tbsp
  • Cream - 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

To be made into paste:

  • Green chillies - 2
  • Onion - 2
  • Mint leaves - 1 tbsp
  • Cashewnuts - 1 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds - 1/2 tsp

 

Method:

Wash chicken and apply turmeric powder and salt and keep it for 10 minutes. Wash thoroughly and apply a little turmeric powder. Keep aside.

In a microwave safe bowl, add oil or ghee, add the paste and microwave covered at 100% power for 5 minutes.

Add all dry masalas, chicken , 1 cup of water and mix well and microwave covered at 100% power for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir in between.

Add cream and curds and mix gently. Microwave covered at 100% for 10 minutes, till done. Let it stand for 3 minutes.

Serve hot with naan, chapati, and ghee rice.
