 GREEN CHICKEN MASALA


Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast pieces - 500gm
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Curds - 1 tbsp (beaten)
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Dry mango powder - 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper  to taste

For Masala (grind together):

  • Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Green chillies - 5 to 6
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 flakes
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch piece

For Garnish: 

  • Onion rings
  • Lemon wedges

Method:

Apply 1 tsp of turmeric powder to the chicken and keep aside for 10 minutes. Wash well and make diagonal cuts on the chicken breasts.

In a large bowl mix beaten curd, masala paste and all other masala together, mix well and put the chicken pieces into it  and keep it for 30 minutes.

Set the microwave in grill mode, apply oil on chicken pieces and grill on the rack for about 20 to 30 minutes. Keep on turning the pieces for even browning.

Garnish with onion rings and lemon wedges. Serve hot with crisp salad  or chapati.
